Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What if the BPKB is still held as collateral by a bank or leasing company?

Request a letter of explanation together with a legalised photocopy of the BPKB from the issuing bank or leasing company.

Do I have to pay the tax again when replacing a lost STNK?

If the vehicle's annual tax is still valid, you only pay the PNBP for printing the duplicate STNK. If the tax has already expired, the outstanding tax arrears must be settled.

Where is the criminal investigation clearance letter issued?

The reserse/minser clearance letter is issued by the criminal investigation (Reskrim) function at the Polres or Polresta covering the Samsat office's jurisdiction.
