Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

May a police officer on the road accept a tilang fine in cash?

NO, THIS IS NOT PERMITTED. Every tilang fine must be paid through the official payment code of the Kejaksaan (Prosecutor's Office) / Kas Negara (State Treasury).

What if the initial payment made via BRIVA exceeds the fine set in the judge's ruling?

The excess balance (the fine deposit) may be collected or transferred back through BRI bank by presenting the proof of payment and the tilang ticket sheet.

Is a transfer receipt valid for collecting a seized SIM or STNK?

Yes. An ATM or mobile banking payment slip, or a Pos Indonesia receipt, is valid proof for collecting barang bukti (items seized and held as evidence) at the Kejaksaan Negeri.
